Real Tone vs. No Cable Fix

I've been playing Rocksmith 2014 for quite a while using a no cable crack (the game is totally legit, though) since there was no way I could find a Real Tone cable anywhere around. But recently I found a local store that has a decent deal on it and considered getting it all official.
The thing is, I'm not really having any troubles with the game as it is. I've managed to achieve low latency, and the sound I get with a regular line-in isn't crystal clear, but it's not terrible either. Download lirik lagu. The only ugly side of it apart from the need of starting an additional .exe before the game is that I get a tolerable chunk of background noise while playing. And since the cable is still going to cost some money, I'd love to know if it's really worth buying in that case.
Is there anyone who succesfully experienced Rocksmith both cracked and the way it's meant to be played? Will I get any noise via Real Tone cable? How's the quality with it? Any other advantages? A firsthand comparison would be amazing.
I hope my question doesn't break any rules of this subreddit. Once again, I own both Rocksmith games on Steam as well as dozens of DLCs and I absolutely love them. It's just the cable thing that bothers me a lot, and the rest of the Internet ain't really helping me with that.
